Arbor Village FAQs
What is the philosophy of care at Arbor Village?
Our philosophy is to provide quality of care that enhances every resident’s life, respects their individuality and encourages their independence in an environment that is supportive and homelike. We are successful because we continually listen and learn from our residents and families through monthly Resident Council Meeting’s, Kitchen Chat’s and an Open Door Policy with our Administrative Team. We strive for continuous improvement each day.
Can you tell me more about the staff at Arbor Village?
Our great caregivers provide the backbone of our operations to our residents providing care each day. Our entire team at Arbor Village demonstrates genuine fondness for our residents through compassion, humor and caring. We have very low turnover which means consistency and continuity in the care provided to your loved one. Our caregivers receive training throughout the year by trained professionals often exceeding State guidelines.
What happens if my family member runs out of financial resources during their residency at Arbor Village?
There are community resources available through the Walworth County Aging Disability Resource Center (ADRC) (262) 741-3400 that can fund long term care based on certain criteria. Also contact the Veteran’s Services office at (262) 742-4222 to learn more about Veterans Benefits that may be available to veterans and their spouses. Discuss these options early on with Arbor Village if affordability is a concern.
Can I furnish my own apartment?
Yes! Our large, private studio apartments include a kitchenette, dining space, living area, bedroom area, spacious bathroom and easy access walk in shower. Residents are encouraged to bring many of their favorite furnishings and pictures from home. Towels, shower curtain, bed linens also provided by the resident.
Can I keep my current physician?
Residents at Arbor Village continue to work with their current physician unless moving from outside the area. We work closely with the physician keeping current on any health or medication changes.
How do I know if my family member is appropriate to live at Arbor Village?
We are happy to discuss what services are provided at Arbor Village and whether we can meet the needs of your family member. Prior to admittance, our Registered Nurse will complete an assessment to assure we understand the daily needs of the prospective resident and whether we can meet those needs.
