With the sub zero temperatures this week we decided to heat things up. And what better way than with the radient energy of the King! A big fan favorite around Arbor Village and Village Glen, Elvis (aka, Alan Graveen) gave a performance that brought Summer Kisses to Winter Tears and created big wide smiles all around! 🌞
As they say, let it snow! ❄️ Well, we haven't had as much of that fluffy white stuff so far this winter but what we did get we celebrated all week at Village Glen and Arbor Village. Our snow themed fun included decortations, entertainment by Tom Stanfield (who was joined by our very own Caregiver, Angie!), Thirsty Thursday cheers and a bit of cooking with Jarod (making banana trifle). Whether you love snow or hope that your shovel stays hanging in the garage, there's no denying that a fresh, white blanket covering our landscape is one of nature's gifts of beauty to all of us who live in the north.
Ringing in the new year has been heard all through Arbor Village and Village Glen this week! We celebrated New Year's Eve with song and great cheer all through the day with many thanks to Mark Paffrath and Teas with Chanin. To add even more sparkle to evening, Shelly pulled out her glimmer glittery outfit with the Glimmer Girls and their smiles in tow. With reflections of 2024 now in the rearview mirror we look forward to what 2025 will bring, while knowing that whatever that may be, it's our residents, their families, our staff and all our volunteers and entertaining friends that will make each new day special as they have year after year. 🙏 ❤️
